PlAy wiTH PErcEption – Sweet Satori
Sweet Satori
I will be gentle with myself.
What do you see?
Your response can be just one word, a phrase, a title, a paragraph, or a poem. It can be a feeling, a memory, a thoughtful reflection, or an immediate impression. Whatever response you give is the right one.
Your comments are an important part of the project. I look forward to seeing your PErcEptions.

Sunshine on gilded leaves
Sparkling bright and clear
Tips of branches poke through
To find the last of summers days
Gold turns to crimson and scarlet
Rich rubies dazzling our eyes
Floating down to earth again
Like flames through the air
Crushed and broken they lay
Upon the forest floor in drifts
Played in by children laughing
Thrown back into mid-air
A scattering of pleasure flows
Through the skies and away
- Fiona Davidson
The grey calmness and the red ecstasy is revealed through the tear in the veil that obscures reality. Little bits of ecstasy and calmness are hiding back there all the time.
The image produces a tactile feeling in my fingertips that I’ve been stroking a deep, lush velvet.
Tarnished bronze that has been rubbed away in some parts to show something vibrant and colorful under the shiny surface.
Bark of a birch tree – all naturally occurring, of the earth
