Julie Wepfer Robinson

Julie Robinson’s acrylic mixed media paintings create a unique fusion of contemporary expressionism and colorfield art–best described as Abstract Transcendental Painting. Her signature style is composed of multitudes of layers and glazes, soft fluid areas and intuitive gestural marks. Her paintings embody a deep sense of the unknown or unmanifest.

Robinson has a growing reputation as a significant artist to watch and was selected for “On The Verge” by WNC Magazine as one of the top ten emerging artists in Western North Carolina. She was recently inducted into the juried National Association of Women Artists. Robinson holds a Masters degree in Architecture and has studied painting throughout the United States. She resides in and takes inspiration from Asheville.
